Turks & Caicos Islands
The Turks and Caicos Islands consist of 40 different islands and cays, only 8 of which are inhabited. This vacation beach villa is located on the island of Providenciales, more commonly called Provo. Provo is renowned for its powdery while sand beaches and has been ranked "Best Beach" by Conde' Nast magazine and by the World Travel Awards for several years running. Found on the western end of the island chain, Provo offers all modern conveniences, including numerous restaurants, spas and shopping facilities, a championship caliber golf course and full service grocery store. Although Provo is the most developed of the islands, it is still a destination for those who want to escape their busy schedules and relax. It is also a destination scuba diving location because of its pristine coral reefs and warm, clear waters.

Location – Our Turks and Caicos beach villa is located on the south shore of Providenciales, on a quiet cove called Sapodilla Bay. The south shore of Provo has the majority of the private villas and the condos/resorts are on the north shore, on Grace Bay Beach. The color of the water on Sapodilla Bay is a glowing turquoise that you have to see to believe. The beach is very quiet and private and is wonderful for a walk with a cup of coffee in the morning, to sit with a book on a beach chair in the afternoon, to enjoy a glass of wine at sunset, or to take a moonlit walk at night.
Getting here - Providenciales is 575 miles southeast of Miami as the crow flies and 55 miles southeast of the Bahamas. The Turks and Caicos International Aiport (PLS) is on Providenciales and about 10 minutes drive from this rental villa. There are direct flights from the US on the following airlines and many connecting flights are offered:
There are also several direct international flight options:
Immigration - A valid passport is required for entry into the Turks and Caicos Islands. Canadian Nationals are currently also able to enter with a birth certificate and photo ID, however these regulations are subject to change.
Weather - Average annual temperature in Turks and Caicos is 83, with September being the hottest month when temperatures can rise into the 90's. Constant easterly breezes keep life comfortable all year. An average annual rainfall of 40 inches or less assures us plenty of sunny days. Water temperature ranges from the upper 70’s in winter to mid-80’s in the summer. It is always swimming weather!
Restaurants - Ranging from sophisticated gourmet, to casually elegant, to dinner with your feet in the sand, this Turks and Caicos luxury villa has more than 50 restaurants, cafes, grilles, beach bars and bistros to choose from. They offer local Caribbean, French, Moroccan, Asian, Chinese, Italian, Sushi and more… or a juicy hamburger, if you'd prefer. Most restaurants are a 10 – 15 minute drive from Villa Blue Heaven. We also love Las Brisas, a lovely waterfront restaurant that you can walk to from our rental house.
Tipping - A tip of 15% is customary in restaurants. This is usually not added to the bill but may appear as a service charge on parties of six or more. Do not confuse this with the 10% service tax that is required by the government and is added to all restaurant bills.
